1. What does my registration fee cover?
You will be a registered player with Football Federation of Australia. The player number you are allocated is your number for the whole of your soccer life no matter where you play or with whatever club you play – your FFA Player ID No. will always remain the SAME.
Fees to Mascot Kings Soccer Club cover your registration fees to Football Federation of Australia (FFA), Football New South Wales (FNSW), Accident Support Program (ASP), Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) and the Mascot Kings’ registration fees.
The Mascot Kings FC’s registration fees provide for the general running of the Club including ground hire fees for training nights and weekends, training equipment, purchase and replacement of jerseys (these remain the property of the Club) as well as all referees’ fees (where applicable) etc. When your registration fees are paid in full, you will receive a pair of Club socks,, shorts and jersey.
2. How much does Registration cost in 2017?
MINIROOS & JUNIORS:
6 & 9 years: $290
10 & 11 years: $310
12 years: $330
13-18 years: $350
AA Men, AA Women & O/35 Men: $490
In 2017 each NEW player to the club will be supplied with a brand new Adidas team kit including shorts, socks & a jersey.

3. What age group will I play in?
The soccer year is January to December so whatever age your child will be at December 31st of the current year will be the age group in which he/she will play. e.g. A child who turns 6 years old on 1/1/2017 will play in the same 6 years age group as the child who turns 6 years old on 31/12/2017. NB: A child is eligible to play in the 6 years age group as long as he/she turns 5 years old before December 31st of the current year.
4. Who will coach my child’s team? (Please remember that all coaches are volunteers)
The Team Leaders (previously called coaches and managers) of the MINIROOS Football teams are usually team parents. Let the Club Secretary (Angela Palogiannidis firstname.lastname@example.org ) know if you are interested in being a Team Leader. The MINIROOS Football instructions are uncomplicated to allow the young players to have fun without pressure and the same applies to the parent helpers/team leaders as well.
The competitive teams are usually coached by people with more experience, sometimes parents or ex players and sometimes even current players. Please let the Club Secretary know if you have an interest in coaching a competitive team.
5. When and where will teams train?
Our home ground is L’Estrange Park (Cnr King and Sutherland Sts, Mascot). Our Club trains on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights between 6pm – 8:30pm but the day and time of your training will be at the discretion of the team coach. He/she is a volunteer and needs to arrange training on a day and at a time that suits both him/her and the team.
6. Do we play Saturdays or Sundays?
MINIROOS FORMAT (6-11 years)
6 and 7 years age groups play intra club which means they will play at L’Estrange Park for home games and rotate with some other local grounds like Maroubra, Waverley and Matraville on Saturday mornings. 8, 9, 10 and 11 years age groups also play on a Saturday but they play inter club which means they play a Home and Away system. In some age groups, there may be an occasional game on a Sunday to accommodate a Club, some of whose children are unable to play on a Saturday.
COMPETITIVE AGE GROUPS (12 years – Over 35) (All play a Home and Away system)
12 to 15 years age groups play at various times on a Saturday, again with an occasional game on a Sunday for the reason explained above.
16 and 18 years, All Age Men, All Age Women and Over 35 Men’s teams all play on Sunday.
